Hi, my name is Kelly Ward. I am a Christian man on fire for God and passionate about His calling on my life. I am more than a Christian though because I am a disciple of Jesus. I got radically saved (again) in 2014. I was an atheist at the time but God was pursuing me. When I look back over the years, I see a little better now how He was doing that. After my conversion, I laid down everything to pursue Him. Shortly after my rededication, I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. My life changed so quickly and I was so glad that God didn't give up on me. In my conversion, I believe that God gave me a short window of freedom to where I could grow and learn in my relationship with Him. I started reading the Bible, going to church, serving others, devouring sermons (especially from the late David Wilkerson), and podcasts from other ministries. That was truly a very special time in my life.
Then there came a time where I had struggles that I wasn't prepared to handle. I had demonic dreams at night which opened the door to learning about deliverance and spiritual warfare. As a man, I also struggled with lust issues for most of my life. I found out that becoming a Christian did not exempt me from demonic attacks. In fact, the attacks became more real. I started learning about deliverance and spiritual warfare but knew so little in the beginning. Around 2015, I went to the church I was attending to go through deliverance but the freedom didn't last. As it turned out, there were still open doors in my life that needed to be shut in order for deliverance to work. The struggle for freedom has been spiritual training for me that opened the door to minister to others. Learning to fight was not an overnight process either. My hope is to share what I have learned and to provide content here that will help my brothers and sisters be set free. I'm here to tell you that you can walk in freedom from demonic influences like I do!
God has a call on my life to be a deliverance minister. In early 2019, I received a word that He wanted me to start a deliverance ministry. Recent events, along with the help of a dear friend, has provided the encouragement I needed to get this started. My goal is to provide practical principles for Christians to learn and apply in their own lives and be able to minister to others. Jesus paid for our freedom but we must appropriate that freedom in order to realize it. Jesus never called us to manage demons but rather, gave us the authority over them. Sadly, many churches do not minister deliverance for various reasons.
Liberty from Captivity is a website dedicated for the purpose of teaching and training Christians how to be delivered and healed from demonic oppression. The name "Liberty from Captivity" was born from Luke 4:18 (NKJV)18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
